In a Hyperbaric Chamber, your body can recover at a higher rate due to the increased pressure and supplied oxygen.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy or HBOT or HBO therapy is a treatment procedure that takes place inside an air sealed, transparent chamber filled with 100% pured oxygen in an increased atmospheric pressure. The process aids the body to absorb oxygen in a greater amount and transports it to the blood cells, blood plasma, cerebral-spinal fluid, and other body fluids. Sufficient oxygen content in the affected tissues promote healing and provide relief.
improve your bodies ability to recover.
Many doctors and clinical researchers in the field of hyperbaric medicine believe that HBOT benefits more conditions beyond the 13 FDA approved indications. These uses include autism, cancer, concussion, general health and wellness, mental health, neurology, sports performance and recovery, traumatic brain injury, and many more. There are several other conditions that HBOT may benefit. During your initial consultation at New Era Wellness Center, we can help you explore your options and decide if HBOT is suitable.
During an initial HBOT evaluation, our N.P. Nicole Alday assesses the wound or condition needing treatment. She also reviews your medical history and any factors that might affect your treatment with hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
After the evaluation we creates your treatment plan. You will likely need a series of regular HBOT sessions at New Era Wellness Center, though the exact number varies from person to person. Typically, it takes 10-40 treatment sessions to see the best possible healing with HBOT.
Each HBOT session lasts for 60-110 minutes. we typically recommend five sessions per week.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has widespread implications for treating wounds and infections that struggle to heal.
