Meet Our Team

Certified in: Graston Technique /ART/FDM/Neufit

Justin Reyna is a Manual/Rehab Therapist that has successfully completed coursing in Exercise / Rehabilitation Sciences and Athletic Injury Prevention, he is currently a student at Parker University’s Doctor of Chiropractic Program.

Justin addresses direct injuries using a multitude of advanced manual techniques such as Active Release technique, Fascial Distortion Model, and Graston technique. He is also keen on using regional interdependence to screen the whole body for mobility deficits in an attempt to reduce patient’s likelihood for future injury.

NeuFit

NEUBIE is NeuFit’s patented electrical stimulation device. It is an acronym for “NEURO-BIO-ELECTRIC STIMULATOR,” and is FDA-cleared.*  When the NEUBIE is combined with NeuFit protocols, the system provides for new methods of Neuromuscular Re-education. As we all know, the nervous system controls every muscle movement. If a movement dysfunction is contributing to your pain, keeping you injured, limiting your mobility, or robbing you of performance, then the NeuFit System may be able to help you.

Graston Technique

Graston Technique ® is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. Originally developed by athletes, Graston Technique® is an interdisciplinary treatment used by more than 13,000 clinicians worldwide—including physical and occupational therapists, hand therapists, chiropractors, and athletic trainers. GT is utilized at some 1,400 outpatient facilities and 34 industrial sites, by more than 208 professional and amateur sports organizations, and is part of the curriculum at 51 respected colleges and universities.

Active Release Technique

ART is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART. These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles.

Fascial Distortion Model

The Fascial Distortion Model (FDM), developed by Stephen Typaldos, D.O., is an anatomical perspective in which the underlying etiology of virtually every musculoskeletal injury (and many neurological and medical  conditions as well) is considered to be comprised of one or more of six  specific pathological alterations of the body's connecting tissues  (fascial bands, ligaments, tendons, retinacula, etc.). This model not  only allows for strikingly effective manipulative treatments for diverse afflictions such as pulled muscles, fractures and frozen shoulders, but the results are objective, obvious, measurable and immediate.

In the manipulative practice of FDM (known as Typaldos Manual Therapy,  or TMT) each injury is envisioned through the model and the subjective  complaints, body language, mechanism of injury and objective findings  are woven together to create a meaningful diagnosis that has practical  applications. For instance, in contrast to orthopedic model in which a  sprained ankle is rested so torn ligaments can heal, in the FDM  approach, the specific anatomical distortions of the capsule, ligaments, or surrounding fascia are physically reversed. Therefore, the  anatomical injury no longer exists, and the patient can walk without a  limp and is pain free. Thus the typical sequence of orthopedic  interventions obligatorily prescribed (resting, ice, compression,  elevation, ant-inflammatory drugs and crutches) is no longer considered  clinically relevant.
